Introduction

The Dementia & Patient Profiler is a compact easy to use system that provides patient activity reporting to nursing staff. It monitors the activity of Dementia patients and compares their behaviour or "profile" to a predetermined profile and sounds an alarm when the patient strays from the profile. The profiles set out for the patients define the time required for an alarm to be assigned to each input. Two time zones allow flexibility for day and night time operation modes. When an alarm occurs it is recorded in a log which may be downloaded to a host computer to be analysed.
